The Hitman community are Agents, we are their Handlers.
While the game does embrace it’s ridiculous side, the community equally embraces the seriousness of performing the perfect assassination. Because community members enjoyed the patience and meticulous planning it takes to be an ICA Agent, we treated social as their headquarters where they would get briefed on what’s to come.
Experiencing the Fantasy
We hired 30 actresses and set up a 1-800 number for people to call in to take a test to see if they have what it takes to become an ICA Agent. The community fell in love with activation and were creating discussions across all platforms.
#ThinkDeadly
During PAX West, the social team was tasked with coming up with with photo moment for our booth. While a typical photobooth would have been the simpler way to go, we felt like it wasn’t social by nature. As we were coming up with ideas, we fell into this carnival theme for the entire booth. Out of that high-level strategy came this Think Deadly claw machine. Anyone could come up and try their hand at the claw machine to grab soft items from the game that were considered deadly. From muffins and hammers, to fire extinguishers, attendees were able to have a fun experience at our booth while trying to win an exclusive item.
